Button Lockout

󰅂

What does a button lockout device do?

Button lockout devices cover and lock out buttons, switches, and other energy points. Use on electrical panels, control panels, and other machines to prohibit access to switches and protect against accidental energization during maintenance work.

A button lockout device can either be a single-piece device that is completely removed after lockout is over OR it can have a pre-installed permanent base that it attaches to. Others can be permanently installed with a cover that is flipped open for normal use and flipped down for lockout.

Some devices cover the button completely and some have a metal bar that prevents access.
