What does a pendant control lockout device do?

A pendant control is a handheld controller for a crane hoist with push buttons. It is directly wired into the hoist or a separate festoon track and hangs down to be used by the operator.

A pendant control lockout device prevents access to the pendant's push-button controls by covering them with a rigid case. If a cinch sack is used, a PVC tube must be inserted to block access to the control buttons.
